Tehran, IRNA - The European Union's Earth Observation Program, the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) declared July 21 (Sunday) the hottest day recorded in the world.

According to IRNA, citing AFP, C3S which has been recording weather data since 1940, announced that the global average temperature reached 17.09 degrees Celsius on Sunday, up 0.01 degrees Celsius recorded on July 6, 2023.

The Copernicus Climate Change Service said in a statement on Tuesday that Earth experienced its hottest day on Sunday.
