Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s defense minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani has told the Iranian parliament that the country’s defense industry exports have quadrupled since the current administration took office in August 2021.

The spokesman of Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee on Tuesday quoted Ashtiani as saying during a parliament committee meeting that Iranian defense industry output had increased by 250% in the past three years.

Ebrahim Rezayi said that private companies had contributed 4.6 times more to Iranian defense industry projects over the past three years compared to the same previous period, according to his account of defense minister’s remarks.
