Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has appointed Mohammad Hosseinipour as new vice president for parliamentary affairs.

Hosseinipour replaces Mohammad Hosseini who was appointed as president’s advisor for cultural and social affairs earlier today.

Hosseinipour also heads the secretariat of Iran's Headquarters for Combating Economic Corruption.

He used to serve as the governor general of Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran.
