The railway station in the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz, one of the oldest stations in Iran which has been operating since 1916, accommodates pilgrims traveling from cities of Tabriz and Maragheh to the holy city of Mashhad in northeastern Iran on a 1,542-kilometer railway link, which is the longest in Iran.
