Tehran, IRNA – The Israeli regime has reportedly carried out yet another airstrike on the outskirts of Damascus, the capital of Syria.

News sources reported that several loud explosions were heard in al-Qalamoun area in Damascus Countryside in the early hours of Sunday.

Syrian official sources have not yet commented but some sources reported the possibility of an air attack by the Zionist regime.

Israel frequently targets Syria with missiles, especially the position of resistance fighters, who have played a key role in helping the Syrian army in its fight against foreign-backed terrorists, including Daesh.

The Syrian government has lodged dozens of complaints at the United Nations and the UN Security Council against the violation of its sovereignty by the Zionist regime. Damascus say the Israeli regime with such attacks tries to prop up terrorists.
