Tehran, IRNA — Iran’s new Ambassador to Brunei Mohammad Taqi Rajabi has met with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian before beginning his tenure in the Islamic country.

Speaking during the meeting, Amirabdollahian underscored the need for further expansion of relations with Bandar Seri Begawan in politics, economy, and culture, the IRNA reported early on Thursday.

Brunei enjoys good capacity in the field of bilateral relations, he noted.

The newly appointed envoy, in the meantime, briefed the foreign minister on the plans he is to pursue during his diplomatic mission in Brunei.
