Tehran, IRNA – Iran has exchanged as much as 63 million tons of products worth $38.6 billion with 15 neighboring countries in the eight calendar months to November 22, according to Head of the country’s customs administration.

Mohammad Rezvanifar said on Wednesday that Iran’s eight-month trade with neighboring countries registered 11.42% and 17.21% year-on-year increases in terms of value and tonnage, respectively.

The official noted that Iran has exported some $18.38 billion worth of goods from the neighboring countries, also importing $20.24 billion from these countries in the period under review.

He said that the value of Iran’s exports to neighboring countries shows a 20.75 hike in comparison to last year’s corresponding period.

Rezvanifar also added that Iran’s imports from its neighbors is up 6.87% in value terms YOY while increasing 13.95% in terms of tonnage.
