Tehran, IRNA – The Health Ministry of Gaza has reported that 198 medical personnel have been killed by the forces of the Zionist regime since October 7.

In addition, 53 ambulances have been destroyed, 135 health centers targeted, and 21 hospitals and 47 medical centers have been forced into inactivity, the ministry announced on Saturday.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has voiced its concern over the deteriorating situation in Gaza. The ICRC stated that the healthcare system in Gaza has reached a critical point, endangering the lives of thousands of wounded, sick, and displaced individuals. The organization has called for the immediate protection of all civilians, including humanitarian workers and medical personnel.

The ICRC also highlighted that children’s hospitals have not been spared from the violence.

As of the 35th day of the conflict, the death toll stands at 11,078, including 4,506 children, 3,27 women, and 678 elderly individuals. Additionally, 27,490 others have been injured.
