Tehran, IRNA - Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili said in a message to the 38th Fajr Music Festival that Iranian music enjoys rich background, identity, and originality.

He made the remarks in his message on Friday to the 38th Fajr Music Festival.

Esmaeili said the Iranian music is considered one of the most effective paths of cultural diplomacy in the international arena.

Fajr Music Festival can play an effective role in recounting cultural themes and social ties, such as hope, collective vitality, and unity needed by today's society, especially the younger generation.

Presided by Behzad Abdi, the 38th Fajr Music Festival kicked off on February 17 and will be continued until February 22.

The festival is another part of the Ten-Day Dawn celebration, which is organized every year to mark the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
