Tehran, IRNA – Mohammad Jamshidi, Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs to Iran’s President, has described the visit of President Ebrahim Raisi to China as a new chapter for economic cooperation and political trust between the two countries.

“A new chapter for broad economic cooperation and political trust between Iran and China began. Talks between the two presidents led to big economic, trade, financial, transit and technology agreements. Strategic global and regional changes plus constructive initiatives were discussed too,” Jamshidi wrote on his twitter page on Wednesday.

The Iranian president arrived in the Chinese capital Beijing early on Tuesday at the start of a three-day visit to the country.

He held talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

The two presidents pledged to enhance Tehran-Beijing cooperation regardless of international developments, and signed cooperation documents.
