Ambassador Ali Alizadeh in a joint press conference with Hossein Amirabdollahian after his visit of the injured victims, said, "I hereby thank Mr. Amirabdollahian, the esteemed foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for visiting the injured victims of this incidence."
He said that the second victim, too, is under surgery now, and hoped his surgery will be satisfactory.
On Friday morning an armed individual with a machinegun attacked the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan that led to getting killed of an embassy staffer and getting injured of two others.
Concerned Iranian officials are seriously pursuing the issue and the attacker is arrested and is being interrogated.
