Tehran, IRNA – Intelligence agencies’ reports show that Iranian embassies and missions have been attacked by some mercenaries, who are directly in contact with certain security services, an Iranian lawmaker said.

Abbas Moqtadaei told IRNA on Sunday that security reports indicate that elements of the Western agencies have been involved in programming and developing the recent unrest in Iran and anti-establishment protests in other countries.

The enemies of the Islamic Republic have resorted to the pretext of the death of an Iranian girl in order to trigger sentiments of people; so, the incident has been used by foreign spy agencies to create chaos in Iran, he said.

The representative of Isfahan in the Iranian parliament went on to say that the ringleaders of the recent chaos confessed that they received money from certain Western states such as the United States, as well as the Zionist regime.

The foes are witnessing lack of public support, while they pretended that the Iranian people have many problems, but the nation has distanced itself from the opposition and rioters, he added.

Moreover, the European Union has been trapped by the US and the Zionist regime; although, the enemies could not achieve their goals in the recent unrest, he argued.

The failure of the US and the Zionist regime has enhanced the Islamic Republic’s structure and showed all nations around the globe that Iran is not a place, where a velvet coup can succeed in.

According to the legislator, the existing coordination and collaboration among people, the administration, as well as security and military forces, helped foil the plot and saved the country from a crisis, which was hatched by the foreigners.
