Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh said that Iran's and China's foreign ministers discussed the BRICS summit, the issue of Afghanistan, and the latest developments in the nuclear negotiations on Thursday.

Keshavarzzadeh wrote on his Twitter account on Thursday said that the Iranian and Chinese foreign ministers discussed regional issues and bilateral relations in a telephone conversation this morning.

The BRICS summit and the issue of Afghanistan, as well as the latest developments in the nuclear negotiations, were also among the topics of discussion, he stressed.

He noted that China opposes US unilateralism and that Beijing believes that the policy of maximum pressure is doomed to fail.
