Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian called on Hungary to help facilitate the process of transportation of the Iranians residing in Ukraine to their homeland.

Amirabdollahian made the remarks during a telephone conversation with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjártó about the Ukraine crisis.

On the phone, the Iranian foreign minister did express concern over measures taken already by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to create crisis in Eastern Europe.

Further, Amirabdollahian stressed the importance of supporting political ways for solving the Ukraine crisis.

Then, he asked for helping transport Iranian nationals residing in Ukraine to their country through Hungarian soil.

For his part, the Hungarian foreign minister said his country will spare no effort to follow up transporting Iranian nationals through its soil.

And, Hungary will give due orders to facilitate Iranian nationals’ return, Szijjártó noted.

Szijjártó underlined the necessity of using diplomatic solution for the crisis, and expressed hope that the crisis would be solved at the shortest time.  

In a related development, the spokesman for Iranian Government Ali Bahadori-Jahromi wrote on Friday that being faithful to the international and humanitarian rights and relying on dialogue and diplomacy are necessary for bringing conflicts to a halt.
