Mahabad, IRNA – An Iranian volleyball coach - Ako Karimi - was selected as the head coach of ACH Volley in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Karimi has also been present in the European volleyball league as the first Iranian, the head of sports office in Iranian northwestern city of Mahabad told IRNA on Wednesday.

Karimi will continue his work as the head coach of Ljubljana ACH Volley for the coming season, Qarni Mostafapour said.  

The official added that Karimi has been elected as a member of board of directors of the Slovenian club and has bought some of its shares.

Having passed the international volleyball coaching course level 2, Karimi will coach Ljubljana ACH Volley, which have been the 17-time champions of the Slovenia league within 2000 to 2020.
