Tehran, IRNA – Iran is scheduled to import some 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine soon to vaccinate students against the pandemic, according to the Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society Karim Hemmati.

Speaking during a televised speech, Hemmati said that students aged 12 -18 will be vaccinated.

He said that the decision to vaccinate students is being taken due to concerns of President Ebrahim Raisi about the health of students as the country is close to the new school year.
