Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in his conversation with Sergey Lavrov discussed a range of issues, including bilateral relations, meeting of officials in the sidelines of Shanghai summit, strengthening cooperation on containing the coronavirus outbreak, issues concerning business people’s entry to Russia, regional developments, initiatives concerning Afghanistan and issues related to the JCPOA.
Amirabdollahian underscored Iran’s expectation to increase Iran’s import of Sputnik COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with the agreements in place.
He thanked the Russian side for the measures taken to solve issues related to the return of Iranian students in Russia.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan which covers all groups of Afghan people.
Russia’s Lavrov stressed that Moscow, just like Iran, will not accept making any change to the existing JCPOA and urged full implementation of the deal.
