Belgrade, IRNA- Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Slakovic in a phone conversation with his Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian voiced his countries' interest in further expanding ties with Iran’s new government.

The Serbian foreign minister said that the two countries would further expand their current relations, which are very good, friendly and cordial.

He dded that Serbia is interested in holding regular political talks with Iran's top officials and holding reciprocal meetings at the highest level.

Slakovic invited his Iranian counterpart to attend the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement. 

The Serbian foreign minister appreciated Iran's continued support for Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as its support in international organizations.

Slakovic recently congratulated Hossein Amirabdollahian on his election as the new foreign minister of the Islamic Republic.
