A day after almost all of his proposed ministers were approved in the parliament, President Raisi convened the first cabinet meeting to elaborate his plans.
Raisi thanked all the officials and authorities who served people during over 40 years from the Islamic Revolution, underlining that the situation, however, is not what Iranian people deserve.
He called on his ministers to concentrate all their effort and time to compensate for the areas lagging behind, so that people can feel advancement and justice.
He pointed to theoretical discussions on justice both in seminary schools and universities, saying that this cannot be the case in practice, as there should be an agreed framework which is best manifested in enforcing the law.
The President also put emphasis on fighting corruption and economic rent as one of his most importance promises, asking his ministers to close the holes through which corruption in different areas occur, especially when an advantage is given by the government to private sector.
He also tasked his Roads and Urban Development Minister to do his best to fulfil the promise of building 1,000,000 houses each year.
