Bojnourd, IRNA - Esfarayen Industrial Complex (EICO) CEO said that the plant has exported 4.218 billion euros of steel products in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021).

In an interview with IRNA on Monday, Ali Malek said that the unit has produced over 26,700 tons of alloy steel in this period, from which 18,337 tons have been sold in the domestic market, with another 7,019 tons having been exported.

He added that the exported alloy steel of the plant has seen a 10 percent increase in value and 20 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.

The company’s total production has grown 38 percent compared to the first quarter of the previous Persian year (March 10, 2020-June 10, 2020) and its domestic and foreign sales have increased by 60 percent in terms of value.

EICO works under the management of the Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO). The company is the largest producer of alloy steel pieces and profiles with a variety of 140 types of products.

The nominal capacity of the plant was 80,000 tons before the inauguration of the development plan, but now it has increased to 120,000 tons.

Esfarayen is a county 60 kilometers southeast of Bojnourd, the center of North Khorasan Province in the northeast of Iran.
