Tehran, IRNA – Advisor to Iranian Parliament Speaker Hossein Amir-Abdollahian called for continuation of Iran-Oman opinion exchange and political consultations, saying that the practice would help stability and security in the region.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Oman’s Ambassador to Tehran Ibrahim Bin Ahmad al-Muini on Wednesday.

The Omani Ambassador highlighted the necessity of boosting the relationship between Iran and Oman in political, economic and parliamentary areas, adding that Oman’s government and parliament were ready to expand interaction between different sectors of the two countries.

In the meeting, both sides also highlighted the friendly ties between the two nations, noting that this would help further expansion of ties.
