Tehran, IRNA - A painting exhibition entitled "Cultural exchanges between Iran and Japan" was inaugurated by the Cultural Counselor of the Iranian Embassy in Japan for the first time with the participation of more than 36 artworks by 8 prominent Japanese artists on the verge of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics .

According to Islamic Culture and Communication Organization, in this important cultural-artistic event, eight prominent painters of Japan have put on display 36 beautiful paintings and artworks about Iran created during the past few months. They have also put on display a number of their other outstanding works in prominent events and exhibitions in Japan, including the National Museum, Art Gallery.

Artists participating in the exhibition are Soh Tsukamoto, Jun MatsubaraShigenobu MoriyamaHideko MurataTakumi SejimaKidai TaguchiSyouichirou Tsukuda, and Kazunori Yamauchi.
