Moscow, June 8, IRNA – Iran’s Niyavaran Museum and Russia’s The Pushkin State Museum have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand bilateral cooperation.

The memorandum inked by Alireza Sharifi, Director of Niyavaran Palace Complex in Tehran, Iran and Marina Loshak, Director of The Pushkin State Museum in Russia, paves the way for the museums to exchange experience and knowledge.

Holding joint exhibitions, educational courses and exchanging experts are among other areas of cooperation agreed in the MoU.

The Pushkin State Museum owns one of Russia’s greatest arts collections which include paintings, sculpture and other artworks from ancient times, medieval and renascence period.

Items from ancient Egypt and paining collections from 4th and 5th century AD European artists are among works exhibited in Pushkin Museum.

The Museum has begun to showcase modern artworks from Russia and Europe.
