Oldest copies of Shahnameh at Italian, British & Iranian museums
Tehran, IRNA – The oldest dated but incomplete copy of Shahnameh (epic poem written by Persian poet Ferdowsi) and the oldest complete version of the masterpiece are being preserved at the National Central Library of Florence, Italy, and at the Museum of London, Britain, respectively, and a manuscript dating back to the eighth century AH is at the National Library and Archives of Iran.
