Islamabad, June 9, IRNA -- Iranian security forces have handed over 98 Pakistani nationals to the local authorities at Iran-Pakistan Taftan border crossing, state media reported.

According to official sources the detained Pakistani citizens were living in different cities of Iran without valid documents.

These deportees were handed over to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further investigation after completion of initial inquiry.

Pakistanis living in Iran illegally or trying to enter Iran illegally are caught every year by Iranian security forces. Iranian security officials often deport illegal Pakistani immigrants.

Iran and Pakistan are already engaged in cooperation to stop the illegal movement of immigrants.
