Shiraz, Nov 24, IRNA – United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) representative in Iran Sivanka Dhanapala hailed the measures taken to provide health insurance coverage to refugees in the Islamic Republic saying they are unmatched at the global level.

On a visit to the Fars Province with a group of Tehran-based foreign diplomats, he made the remarks in a meeting with local officials in which he said Iran's endeavors are unparalleled by any country hosting foreign displaced refugees.

Dhanapalan also welcomed the decree by the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on provision of education to the children's of refugees in Iran.
'Iran and Pakistan are hosting the highest number of Afghan refugees while Iran has provided the best conditions for them in education, living conditions and medical treatment,' he added.

Ambassadors of Austria, Indonesia, and Slovakia joined the UNHCR envoy in appreciating Iran's measures to support the refugees.
