Talking to IRNA, he said his organization is working on the program and the projects will become operational in a few years.
He said Iran has to think of its future and make good programming to generate fuel in the next ten or fifteen years.
The official said Iran is also to work on building small-scale plants.
Commenting on Iran’s contracts with Russia to have two nuclear power plants built in Bushehr, he said Iran had a good cooperation with Rosatom on the projects.
A Rosatom delegation is to visit Iran on April 21, Kamalvandi noted.
According to the official, the delegation is to conduct discussions on joint cooperation in building two power plants in Iran.
He said that construction of two new nuclear power plants will definitely start this year.

Tehran, April 11, IRNA – Deputy Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Behrouz Kamalvandi said a number of small-scale desalinating power plants are to be built in south of the country.
