Mohammad Sabahi was shot after the Friday prayers, said the governor of Kazeroun, Mohammad Ali Bekhrad, on Friday.
He said that the assailant shot himself too after the attack.
He also said that Sabahi is being treated in a hospital but is in dire condition.
Investigations on the incident are underway.
