The Army's news portal said on Sunday that Sahand lost its balance due to water leaking into its tanks as it was undergoing repairs at a maritime dock in Bandar Abbas.
It added that the vessel was "being returned to balance".
Several people sustained minor injuries in the incident and were taken to hospital.
