He made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran on Sunday with Alena Peryshkina, Co-Chair of the BRICS Civil Forum.
Pointing to different potentials of IRCS, Koulivand said that with 3 million volunteer members and 70,000 specialized aid workers, this society provides services in road, mountain and seaside accidents round the clock.
He said that the IRCS enjoys 18 helicopters, hundreds of aid vehicles and also has established warehouses for saving first aid and essential items to help in different accidents.
The official also pointed to rescue operations carried out by IRCS in earthquakes in Turkiye, Afghanistan and Syria as part of the overseas activities of the society.
Koulivand added that the IRCS also has several health centers across the world which are providing services to people in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The BRICS official, in the meantime, hailed the IRCS huge potentials in different areas, voicing BRICS’s willingness to cooperate with this society.
She voiced support for IRCS’s bid for chairmanship of BRICS Health Working Group.
