Qaani expressed his sympathy with Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, on Wednesday.
The Iranian commander told Haniyeh that the martyrdom of his family members and relatives is proof of resistance leaders’ struggle and sacrifices in defending Gaza.
On Wednesday, Palestinian media said that Haniyeh had lost his nephew in an Israeli attack in Gaza City earlier in the day. A week ago, he also lost three sons and three grandchildren in an Israeli airstrike on Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza.
