Since the Gaza war began on October 7 last year, 3,000 Palestinians, including women, children, elders and medical personnel have been arrested, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights announced on Monday.
A teenage detainee has said that he was tortured from the moment he was arrested, according to Al Mezan.
As he explained, he experienced “starvation and extreme fatigue,” the human rights center noted.
In a related development, the International Committee of the Red Cross has criticized the long-term period of torture against the Palestinian detainees.
The committee has called on the Israeli regime to cooperate with the International Committee of the Red Cross in order to get informed of the fate of the rest of the arrested.
Nearly 33,800 Palestinians, mostly children and women, have been killed in Gaza since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s genocidal war on the besieged territory.
