Tehran, IRNA — Iran produced nearly 3.2 million barrels of crude oil in March, up 28,000 barrels from February, leading the members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in production.

The latest data by the OPEC shows that 13 member states produced 26.6 million barrels of crude oil in March, 3,000 barrels more than February's figures.

After Saudi Arabia with the production of over 9.03 million barrels of oil per day (bpd) and Iraq with the production of nearly 4.2 million bpd, Iran retained the position of the third producer of the organization, producing about 3.2 million bpd.

Iran produced around 3.2 million bpd in March, 28,000 barrels more than February.

Iran's heavy crude oil prices rose 3.9% in April from March 2024, according to OPEC's latest monthly report.
