Tehran, IRNA - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly denounced the Zionist aggression, banning the worshippers from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday.

In a statement on Saturday, the OIC condemned the move as a blatant violation of international regulations in which the Zionists had fired tear gas and poison-gas bombs at the worshippers inside Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards resulting in numerous injuries and arrests.

The statement urged the international community to intervene and stop the Zionist repeated infringements on the freedom of worship and the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It reiterated calls for the implementation of United Nations resolutions aimed at halting the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people.

The OIC also renewed its appeal for ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip, underscoring the pressing need to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people amidst ongoing hostilities.
