Ashgabat, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirbdollahian, who had visited Turkmenistan to consult with the high officials of Turkmenistan, left Ashgabat for Tehran on Thursday night.

Talks on issues of mutual interest, especially economic and commercial issues, transit, energy and water tensions in the region, and the need for cooperation to preserve the water resources of the two countries, including the Friendship Dam, was on the agenda of Amirabdollahian's consultations in Ashgabat.

One of the goals of Amirabdollahian's intensive trip was to prepare the preparations for President Raisi's upcoming trip to Turkmenistan.
