Tehran, IRNA- Alireza Pasandideh has been selected as the vice president of the International Kurash Association.

With the decision of the association's executive committee, Pasandideh, the head of Iran's Rural Sports and Local Indigenous Games Federation, was elected as the vice president of the International Kurash Association.

Kurash, also written as goresh, is a type of traditional wrestling practiced in various regions of Iran, especially in the northern and northeastern parts of the country.

Wrestlers need to earn points by forcing the opponent to touch the mat with any part of the body except a foot.
