London, IRNA – The Islamic Republic of Iran’s diplomatic mission in Britain provides Iranian expatriates with consular services regardless of their political approaches, an Iranian embassy official in London has said.

Mehdi Hosseini Matin, the embassy’s charge d'affaires, told the IRNA correspondent in London on Thursday that opponents of the Islamic Republic have in recent years attempted to portray a false image of the diplomatic mission regarding the provision of consular services to Iranian expats.

The embassy provides Iranian nationals with consular services regardless of their political, economic, cultural, and social affiliations, because diplomats do not discriminate between Iranians inside and outside the country, he said.

According to the diplomat, the embassy has prepared applications and online platforms to issue ID cards and offer other services to Iranian nationals and their family members.

About 300 people visit the consular service department of the Iranian Embassy in London on a daily basis, while numerous others are being provided with online and phone services, he added.
