According to Al-Ahed news, sources close to the Israeli regime said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had already started negotiations with local officials of the northern occupied territories over the new school year in those areas amid Hezbollah attacks, the IRNA reported on Thursday.
Israel’s Hayom newspaper issued a similar report, saying that Netanyahu had discussed the potential postponement of the new school year with those local officials.
The newspaper added that they had also held negotiations to extend beyond July the time when Israeli settlers would reside in places other than their own areas and have discussed preparations for the possible extension in terms of economic issues.
Hezbollah launched its military operations against Israeli positions in the northern occupied territories on October 8, a day after the regime unleashed its war on Gaza. The Lebanese resistance movement has said that its operations are aimed at supporting the Palestinians in Gaza and reducing pressure on resistance fighters battling Israeli forces inside the besieged strip.
