Tehran, IRNA- The Israeli military in a statement on Tuesday night confirmed that a missile was fired from Yemen targeted an area in the occupied Palestinian territories.

According to the Palestinian "Sama" news agency, the regime's army also admitted that it was a cruise missile that hit the north of Eilat city.

The Zionist media earlier announced that the army failed alert people with sirens in Eilat following the firing of this missile.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, earlier informed that the army’s missile unit fired several cruise missiles at Israeli military targets in Eilat in occupied Palestine.

Saree said the launch was successful and that the Yemeni armed forces will continue to fulfill their religious, moral and humanitarian duties towards the oppressed people of Palestine.

The Yemeni army launched their operations against Israel over the regime’s genocide in the Gaza Strip. The have repeatedly attacked Israeli or Israeli-bound ships in the Red Sea as part of anti-regime operations.  

However, over the past month, Yemenis have also launched attack on US and British ships in retaliation for the two countries’ aggression against the Arab country.
