Tehran, IRNA - Milad Taqavi was elected as the new head of Iran's Volleyball Federation by winning the majority of votes.

According to IRNA, the forum started at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning under the chairmanship of Seyyed Mohammad Sharvin Esbaghian, Deputy Director of Championship and Professional Sports Development of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and with the presence of members of the forum in the hall of the Master Farsi of the National Olympic Academy.

Five people, including Mahmoud Afshardost, Peyman Akbari, Seyed Milad Taqavi, Mohammad Mansouri, and Amirhossein Magari, were candidates for confirmation of qualification, but Mansouri did not attend the assembly.

Finally, out of a total of 67 votes, Milad Taqavi, who was the secretary of the volleyball federation before, was decisively elected as the president of the volleyball federation with 61 votes and Afshardost also got 6 votes.

At the end of the voting for the members of the board of directors, Vahid Moradi became the first vice president with 59 votes.
