Tehran, IRNA – Jamshid Andalibi, a well-known Iranian musician and Ney player has passed away.

Iran’s House of Music announced his passing on Tuesday, extending condolences to his bereaved family.

Andalibi died at the age of 66 due to cardiac arrest.

He played Ney which is an end-blown flute mostly played in Iran.

He had cooperated in several pieces of music with Iranian legendary vocalist the late Mohammadreza Shajarian.
