Tehran, IRNA – Iran has exported an almost $7 billion worth of steel products in the 11 months to late February, according to a report by the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).  

An ISPA report published on Monday said that the figure shows a 20% year-on-year growth.

It also said that Iran has exported as much as 27 million tons of steel products in the mentioned period which is indicative of a 68% surge in terms of tonnage when compared to figure reported in last year’s corresponding period.  

Iran has also posted a 30% rise in the exports of slab and a 5.8% increase in the exports of rebar both in terms of tonnage, according to the report.   

It added that the country has witnessed a significant 800% rise in the exports of iron ore concentrate in the period under review.
