Tehran, IRNA – The Israeli military has conducted new artillery and air raids on the border areas of southern Lebanon.

According to the Al-Mayadeen news channel, the Israeli artillery shelled the towns of Tayr Harfa, Al-Jebin and Shihein.

Warplanes also bombarded the towns of Kharba Salem, Al Tayba, Siddiqin and Qana in southern Lebanon.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the attacks.

The regime has recently carried out several deadly attacks on residential areas in southern Lebanon.

This is while, Hezbollah has restricted its attacks on Israeli military bases and facilities located on the occupied Palestinian territories.

Hezbollah retaliation

On Tuesday, Hezbollah announced targeting the Israeli "Meron" spying airbase in northern parts of the occupied Palestinian territories with a salvo of rockets.

Hezbollah said the attack damaged and destroyed a part of the electronic surveillance and espionage devices, according to the Arab media report.

Hezbollah, in a brief statement, said that the operation was in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as well as a response to the Israeli aggression against the Lebanese city of Baalbek and its vicinity.

Also, a volley of rockets was launched from Lebanon towards Western Israeli-occupied Al-Jalil in northern Palestine.

Zionist sources reported the attack and the sound of several explosions shortly after.

Hezbollah and the Israeli regime have been trading exchanging cross-border almost on a daily basis fire since Israel launched its genocidal campaign in Gaza in early in early October last year.
