Geneva, IRNA – Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries in international fields, saying that the two sides are ready to strengthen relations.

Speaking in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, Gil Pinto emphasized Venezuela's readiness to promote relations based on the 20-year cooperation document and the full implementation of cooperation documents.

Venezuela considers the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries in line with the common interests of the two nations, he added.

Referring to the common position of the two countries regarding Palestine, he emphasized Venezuela's strong position concerning stopping the war against the Palestinians.

He also expressed Venezuela's solidarity with the Palestinian people in resisting the occupation.

Meanwhile, Amirabdollahian referred to the signing of 19 cooperation documents, including the 20-year long-term cooperation document between the two countries, and the need for follow-up and joint efforts for effective implementation.

He condemned US' interference in Venezuela's internal affairs, especially in issues related to the country's elections.

Iran supports the right of the Venezuelan people to choose their fate without foreign interference, he noted.
