Tehran, IRNA – Hamideh Ahmadi, an Afghan-Canadian woman present in the 40th International Holy Quran Competitions in Tehran, hailed the high level of the competition.

She said on Tuesday that the level of the competitions is high both in terms of quality and quantity.

Ahmadi, a mother of three, said that she is a referee in Quranic events of Islamic centers in Canada.

She added that she is indebted to her Iranian teachers and friends for making progress in Quranic activities.  

Referring to Iran as the land of Quran, she said that she has passed her Quranic education in Iran’s northern province of Qazvin.  

The 40th International Holy Quran Competitions is underway in the Iranian capital in two men’s and women’s sections.
