Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met and held talks with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena in Colombo.

In the separate meetings on Tuesday, Amirabdollahian discussed issues of mutual ties in various fields and the way to expand the ties in political, economic, scientific, and technological areas with Wickremesinghe and Gunawardena.

At the end of the meeting, Amirabdollahian signed the memorial book of the Sri Lankan prime minister.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Iranian top diplomat also attended a meeting with his Sri Lankan counterpart Sabry at the venue of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.

Amirabdollahian left for the South Asian country on Monday afternoon in response to an invitation by Sabry.
