Moscow, IRNA – Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov says Iran greatly contributes to the development of global civilization, emphasizing that Iranians have a rich history that dates back to several thousand years ago.

In an interview with IRNA on the sidelines of the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution at the Iranian Embassy, Ryabkov expressed confidence that the relations between the friendly nations have a bright future.

"According to the information I have about the potential of bilateral ties, I can say that this potential has not yet been tapped, but we are just beginning to know how many fruitful and beneficial things we can do together," the Russian diplomat said.

He further said Moscow truly values the expansion of ties with Tehran, including in infrastructure, industry, trade, tourism, and banking sectors.

"The development of cooperation in these sectors is a priority for our countries, which we pay special attention to, and from the Iranian side, we also see an interest in developing relations in these sectors," he added.
