Mashhad, IRNA – Head of the Atomic Energy Agency of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami has said that the destructive behaviors of arrogant powers (the US and some of its Western allies) and the double standards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) pushed Iran to meet its nuclear requirements through domestically developed research.

Eslami made the remark on Thursday as he visited an exhibition in Mashhad, Razavi Khorasan province, which showcases national achievements by Iran.

He noted that as a result of double standards and destructive behaviors toward the peaceful Iranian nuclear program, there was no cooperation with the country in its nuclear industry which even faced obstacles preventing the supply of the required equipment and technology.

The lack of cooperation however made Iran powerfully follow up all the processes through fruitful research and create the capacity for research and development, Eslami added.

The newly-developed magnetic mass spectrometer “Iranium” was unveiled at Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Enrichment Complex in Natanz city on Tuesday. The AEOI has recently inaugurated a semi-industrial production center for producing tellurium hexafluoride in Isfahan, central Iran, he said.
