Sorkhrud Wetland is located near the city of Mahmudabad in Mazandaran Province, northern Iran. Every year, the wetland hosts a large number of migratory swans during the cold season. Their number is different each year. This year, it is around 2,000. The presence of these birds in Sorkhrud Wetland, especially whooper swans, is seen as an effective capacity for Mazandaran Province.
