Tehran, IRNA – The Iranian ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Toutounchi, and the Kuwaiti Oil Minister, Emad Mohammed al-Atiqi, have held talks over expanding the bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels, especially joint investment in oil industry.

The two officials discussed the cooperation between the two neighboring and Muslim countries on Saturday and exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of oil industry, energy, and common issues.

The Kuwaiti Oil Minister said in the meeting that the long-standing relations between the two neighboring countries are based on unbreakable ties, common history, and family relations, and the bilateral cooperation between Iran and Kuwait in the fields of energy and oil is decades old because both countries are among the founders of the OPEC organization.

Al-Atiqi added that Kuwait hopes that these relations and bilateral cooperation will expand more and more.

For his part in the meeting, Iranian ambassador to Kuwait said that Iran has facilitated foreign investment  in the field of oil and energy industry, adding that Tehran is ready for any joint investment in the oil industry.
